The Kashmiri Pheran is a traditional garment designed for warmth and comfort. Unlike fitted kurtas, Pherans are cut loosely to allow for layering underneath (thermals, sweaters, etc.).

Key Fit Note: Pherans typically have a margin of 4–6 inches over your actual body chest measurement to ensure the traditional drape and comfort.

How to Measure

To ensure you order the perfect size from Kashmir Online Shopping, please follow these measurement steps:

1. Chest (Bust)

  • Measure around the fullest part of your bust.
  • Keep the tape measure straight and snug, but not tight.
  • Example: If your body bust measures 36 inches, you should order a Small (40″ Garment Chest) to allow for the standard 4-inch looseness.

2. Shoulder

  • Measure from the tip of one shoulder bone across your back to the tip of the other shoulder bone.
  • Pheran shoulders are often “drop-shoulder” style, so they may sit slightly wider than a fitted shirt.

3. Length

  • Measure from the highest point of the shoulder (near the neck) down to the hem.
  • Standard Pherans fall below the knee to mid-calf.

4. Sleeve

  • Measure from the shoulder joint down to the wrist.
  • Traditional Pherans often have slightly wider sleeves to accommodate layers.
